Today, Thursday, the Ministry of Oil announced the opening of the "Samawa Gas Depot" project in Al-Muthanna Governorate, while confirming that it will provide a large part of the consumption need for gas.
The ministry stated, in a statement received by (Baghdad Today), that "the Undersecretary for Gas Affairs, Ezzat Saber Ismail, opened the Samawah gas depot project in Al-Muthanna Governorate."
And the statement quoted the Undersecretary of the Ministry as confirming that "the Samawah gas depot is one of the latest projects that adopt modern technology and means of protection, and aims to provide a large part of the consumer need and storage capacity for liquid gas for the governorate," noting "the ministry's keenness to improve the services provided to citizens." And work to modernize oil and gas facilities.
He stressed that "Muthanna will witness during the next stage the implementation of many promising projects."
For his part, Ali Hussein, General Manager of the Gas Filling and Services Company, said, "The consumption capacity of the Samawah warehouse ranges from 120-140 tons, as 7 factories are equipped to fill liquid gas cylinders, of which 2 are government and 5 are private."
Hussein added, "The warehouse activity includes receiving, distillation, storage and loading operations, and the production capacity of the factories is 13,000 cylinders per day."
