{Politics: Al-Furat News} The Parliamentary Legal Committee announced that the provincial elections bill had arrived from the government to the House of Representatives yesterday, Thursday.
Committee member Muhammad al-Khafaji told {Euphrates News} agency: "The election law officially arrived in the House of Representatives yesterday," noting that "no meetings on the law took place, and starting next week there will be intensive meetings regarding it."
And on the financial budget, he explained, "The budget for this parliamentary session is special and different. It is for three years," noting, "The start of studying the budget and reviewing it will be early next week."
On March 4, the House of Representatives completed the second reading of the proposed law for the third amendment to the Provincial and District Councils Elections Law No. (12) of 2018, and the Presidency of Parliament set next Sunday a session to vote on the law.
