Oil Minister: We will reach an agreement with the region very soon

{Economic: Al Furat News} Oil Minister Hayan Abdul Ghani revealed "very positive" negotiations between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government regarding the region's delivery of oil and the draft oil and gas law.
Hayan said in a press statement: "Negotiations with the region are still ongoing and a draft oil and gas law is being prepared, which would regulate the relationship between the center and the region."
"The negotiations between the two sides are very positive and an agreement will be reached very soon," he added.
Regarding the ministry's failure to resort to international arbitration regarding the contract between the ministry and Exxon Mobil, Hayan said, "Negotiations are still going on with the company, and there will be no resort to international arbitration regarding termination or continuation of the contract with Exxon Mobil."
