    {Economic: Al Furat News} Minister of Oil, Hayan Abdel-Ghani confirmed today, Saturday, seeking to increase the allocations of social benefits to (10 million dollars) instead of (5 million dollars) granted by contracting companies for oil licensing rounds.
    During his meeting with officials of the administrative units in Basra Governorate, the Minister of Oil said: "We seek to increase social benefits allocations to (10 million dollars) instead of (5 million dollars) granted by contracting companies for oil licensing rounds, increasing social benefits allocations from (3%) To (10%) that is deducted from the profits of the national oil companies.
    He added, "The need to raise the level of public services provided to the citizens of the areas near the oil fields, support community and health initiatives, and organize various workshops to train and qualify residents of the areas adjacent to the oil fields in various specializations."
    He continued, "The Ministry of Oil contributed to building schools and health centers, paving roads for areas near the oil fields, providing potable water, and supporting water purification projects."
