Today, Monday, historian Muhammad Perinchik revealed what he described as the “real goals” of the American invasion of Iraq in 2003, and the subsequent attempts that “failed” to establish a new project for the Middle East.
In an interview with the Russian “Novosti” agency, Perenchik said that the United States of America tried to “change the borders of 24 countries” around the world through the project that it launched as a first stage in the Middle East.
He added that the project aims to "achieve intentions that fit Washington's vision of the world and ensure its survival as a global power by targeting the countries of the Middle East, China and Russia, as well as Turkey," he said.
The historian pointed out that “the first stage included the establishment of the (Great Kurdistan) project, through which Washington tried to change the political geography of the Middle East region by dismantling northern Iraq and large areas inside Syria, Iran and Turkey, to establish the new political entity that Washington hoped would be a large military base for it. In the region through which it imposes its political and diplomatic influence in the style of the British Balfour Declaration.”
The historian also stressed that "Washington's efforts to achieve (a great Kurdistan) failed during the years that followed the invasion as a result of the events that took place inside Iraq and the region and its inability to guarantee (the sovereignty and independence) of the political entity it sought to form." As described.
Over the past few days, the Arab and Western press have dealt with a number of articles and reports on the 20th anniversary of the American invasion in Iraq, stressing the failure of the American project in Iraq, and revealing secrets and mysteries related to the "American invasion" process.
