    [size=45]On Tuesday, the Iraqi Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani, held an expanded session of talks with Turkish officials in the capital, Ankara, on top of which were the files of economy, terrorism, and water.[/size]
    [size=45]The media office of Al-Sudani stated in a statement that the latter headed the Iraqi delegation in the talks, while the Turkish side was headed by the President of the Turkish Republic, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, accompanied by an expanded government delegation.[/size]
    [size=45]During the session, they discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries, a number of issues and files of common interest, and ways to develop bilateral cooperation in various fields, including the water field, as the session witnessed the announcement of Turkey's agreement to double the water releases of the Tigris River for a period of one month.[/size]
    [size=45]Al-Sudani stressed during the session that Iraq aspires to a real economic partnership, and is open to cooperation with all friends, expressing confidence in the importance of the “dry channel” development road project, and its vital role that will serve the interests of the two countries and promote development throughout the region.[/size]
    [size=45]He also renewed Iraq's firm position in refusing to use its lands to attack neighboring countries, or any infringement on Iraqi sovereignty.[/size]
    [size=45]For his part, Erdogan expressed his appreciation for Iraq's position of solidarity with the victims of the recent earthquake and his appreciation for the aid sent.[/size]
    [size=45]He affirmed his country's support for Iraq's sovereignty over its lands, and Turkey's desire to advance joint action in the development path project, and that bilateral cooperation include several economic fields, including education, health and agriculture.[/size]
    [size=45]The Turkish president indicated his aspiration that the Sudanese visit would be a good sign for the development of bilateral relations for the benefit of the two friendly peoples.[/size]
    [size=45]The session also witnessed a review of ways to activate the joint coordination committee between Iraq and Turkey, and to support its activities.[/size]
    [size=45]The Iraqi Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani, arrived at the head of a high-level delegation to the Turkish capital, Ankara, where an official reception ceremony took place.[/size]
