The Gulf Petroleum Investment Company “Petrogulf” signed a joint cooperation agreement with a company in the Republic of Iraq to market and operate the company’s rigs inside and outside Iraq for a period of 5 years.
The company stated in a statement today, Wednesday, that it had signed a debt settlement contract in favor of one of the subsidiaries through its acquisition of shares in a Kuwaiti shareholding company, at a value of 1.11 million Kuwaiti dinars.
The settlement contract includes the subsidiary company owning an additional share, bringing the total value of the settlement and additional shares to about 1.6 million dinars.
Regarding the financial impact, the company clarified that there is no impact on it until contracts are awarded with other parties at a later time.
The settlement will result in a decrease in dues from related parties, which are included in the debtors item, by a value of 1.1 million dinars, compared to an increase in the investments item by 1.6 million dinars, as well as an increase in the item of creditors to related parties by a value of 0.5 million dinars.
It is noteworthy that the losses of “Petrogulf” increased by 40% in the first nine months of the year 2022, to record 1.22 million dinars, compared to losses of 867.77 thousand dinars during the same period of 202
