Today, Friday, the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Ahmed Al-Asadi, expected that about 600,000 families would be included in social protection, as part of meals this year.
Al-Asadi said in a press statement, "We have put in the budget additional financial allocations, and the prime minister supports social protection in particular," adding, "We expect, according to the 2023 budget, to include at least 600,000 families within meals during the year 2023."
And he continued, "The 2023 budget of the Ministry of Labor may reach 6 trillion dinars, between allocations for social protection and people with disabilities."
Earlier, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs launched the largest social research campaign for the poorest regions, which included families applying for social subsidy in all governorates except for the Kurdistan region, which applied through the electronic link by two million and 700 families.
