Head of the Integrity Commission, Haider Hanoun, confirmed today, Thursday, the recovery of 400 billion dinars of stolen funds in the tax secretariat case, pointing out that the commission adopts confidential procedures in completing the case and tracking the rest of the money.
Hanoun said to the official agency, followed by Mawazine News, that "investigations into the case of theft of tax secretariats are continuing, and Diaa al-Moussawi was the last accused and he is not the last in the theft of tax secretariats," stressing that "there are other suspects, and the list will be long and our procedures are confidential."
He added, "The secret procedures serve the investigation to reach the other suspects and the whereabouts of the stolen money."
Hanoun revealed, "The money that has been returned so far is approximately 400 billion dinars, and we are trying to recover all the money and real estate to return it to the state treasury."
He continued, "The Integrity Commission has a lot of corruption files, some of which are confidential and cannot be disclosed, because releasing the information will lead to the loss of funds and the escape of the accused. Upon completing the procedures of any file, we will announce it through the media."
In early March, the Federal Integrity Commission announced the issuance of arrest warrants and investigations against a number of senior officials in the previous government. accused of facilitating the seizure of tax secretariat amounts.

And she continued, “The orders issued, based on the provisions of Article (316) of the Penal Code, came against the background of the accusation of facilitating the seizure of tax secretariat amounts, pointing to the issuance of orders to seize their movable and immovable funds, based on the provisions of Article (184/a) of the Law.
