    He pointed out, "The discussions of this day were based on finding mechanisms and practices for cooperation and coordination between the Private Sector Development Department in the Ministry of Trade and the Iraqi Federation of Industries, which is part of the ministry's program for cooperation in order to achieve the goals of the Iraqi private sector and support the activities of Iraqi exporters and industrialists."
    And he stressed, “The meeting discussed a working paper prepared by the Federation of Iraqi Industries, which included mechanisms for joint action, whether on the subject of preparing an import and export plan, using the open door to import, discussing the most prominent obstacles to growth and development, as well as discussing unfair competition between imported goods and cheap equipment between the national variety that is not The market proposes that it not overcome great difficulties in light of the inappropriate investment environment.

    For his part, Mr. Adel Akab, President of the Iraqi Federation of Industries, emphasized “the importance of these meetings to overcome obstacles and contribute to preparing proposals that support the work of the Iraqi and industrial exporters, who suffer from many problems and neglect that extended for many years, as a result of the government’s lack of interest in this vital sector.”
    Akab called for “the importance of creating fair competition between importers and not limiting it to specific people, reducing the validity period of import licenses, checking when they are renewed when the market needs them, and checking the support policy for imported goods, especially food, as government support leaked into the pockets of importers,” calling for “converting support to Importing production materials.
    He stressed the need to encourage the export of national products by reducing transportation, export and advertising expenses, and investing foreign relations in encouraging the import of Iraqi products, reducing taxes on them, and benefiting from the experience of neighboring countries in determining the proportions of direct support for export.
    The two parties agreed to renew joint meetings and find a working ground that would help the Iraqi private sector achieve its goals, as well as find new mechanisms to support Iraqi exporters and the possibility of benefiting from the Iraqi Exporters Support Fund to export Iraqi goods, which confirmed its success, the last of which was presented at the Baghdad International Fair of distinguished goods that compete foreign goods.[/size]
