The head of the State of Law Coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, confirmed today, Thursday, during his meeting with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Iraq, Elbrus Kotrashev, that Iraq is moving rapidly towards political and security stability and has a will to complete the construction and reconstruction process.
A statement by the State of Law coalition, received by (Baghdad Today), said, "Al-Maliki affirmed Iraq's pride in the close relationship with Russia and its aspiration to strengthen it in the political, economic, security and cultural fields," noting that "Iraq is moving rapidly towards political and security stability and has a will to complete the construction process." And reconstruction, especially after the formation of a government that enjoys the support of all."
The statement added, "Ambassador Kotrashev congratulated Al-Maliki and the Iraqi people on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan," stressing "his country's keenness to support Iraq to overcome crises and face challenges to achieve development and stability."
