[rtl]Baghdad - Iraq today:
Today, Thursday, the Ministry of Finance and Economy of the Kurdistan Regional Government issued an explanation about the amount of 400 billion dinars that were sent from Baghdad.[/rtl]
[rtl]The ministry said in a statement, “With regard to misleading about the issue of 400 billion dinars published on several websites, pages and media outlets, the Federal Government Council of Ministers approved the amount of 400 billion dinars for the months of November and December 2022 , but it was delayed for several reasons and was transferred to the bank account of the Ministry of Finance and Economy in Kurdistan region at the beginning of this month.[/rtl]
[rtl]The statement added, “The Minister of Finance and Economy in the regional government announced on March 14 in a press conference that the 400 billion dinars came only to finance salaries and will not be spent on anything else, and the salaries for the month of March will be distributed without problems.” [/rtl]
[rtl]The statement stressed that "the monthly amount that the ministry spends on Sulaymaniyah governorate will not change."
The statement indicated that "due to the decrease in oil revenues, only 340 billion dinars were transferred by the Ministry of Natural Resources to the account of the Ministry of Finance for the salaries of the month of February, in addition to 400 billion dinars from Baghdad." , and the deficit will be bridged from the internal revenues as it was previously.”
The representative of the New Generation Movement, Sarwa Abdel Wahid, published a tweet on her Twitter account, in which she said, “The federal government sent 400 billion dinars to the region, but the amount disappeared and has no effect in Erbil, and until now,[/rtl]
