    [rtl]Baghdad - Iraq today:

Independent MP Mustafa Khalil Al-Karawi revealed, on Thursday, the details of the appeal during the voting session on the election law, indicating that the Federal Court accepted the appeal and the date for issuing the ruling will be determined.

Al-Karawi said in a statement, "Independent MP Amir Al-Mamouri filed an appeal before the Federal Court that the voting session on the election law was unconstitutional, as it violated the internal system."

He added, “The Federal Court accepted the case to delve into the details of the House of Representatives session,” noting that “after accepting the case, the Federal Court will study the case submitted to it and the aforementioned points of violations of the articles of the election law and the internal system of the House of Representatives, to determine after that the date for the session to issue the ruling.”

The House of Representatives held a session at dawn last Monday to vote on the election law, which prompted many deputies to challenge the legality of the session.[/rtl]
