    Today, Saturday, the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani, affirmed that medical and health security are the most important requirements of the citizen.
    The Prime Minister said, in a press conference during the inauguration of the National Health Factory affiliated to the Ministry of Health, that "the national factory will secure all sterilizers and medical supplies for the Ministry of Health," stressing that "the opening of the national factory is a message from the government to localize the pharmaceutical industry."
    He added, "The opening of the national factory is a gain for the Ministry of Health," noting that "medical and health security are the most important requirements for the citizen."
    He continued, "The state must be able to secure medical supplies," noting that "the size of the pharmaceutical market has exceeded $3 billion."
    He pointed out that "the national production of medicines is only 10 percent," adding, "We hope that the private sector will contribute to the national production of medicines."
    He explained that "the national factory represents a success story and an achievement that deserves coverage from the national media," stressing that "the national factory relied on the private sector."
    And Al-Sudani indicated that "the national factory will meet the needs of patients in hospitals in terms of antiseptics, sterilizers, and dialysis solutions, and it will have 15 percent of the sales of the materials produced," noting that "there is a willingness to add new production lines in the national factory."
    He pointed out that: “Our participation in the opening of the factory is a message from the government to the private sector in the field of localizing the pharmaceutical industry. Ministry of Industry or the private sector.
    He added, "We reached a set of recommendations that were approved in one of the cabinet sessions, and these recommendations are sufficient for the support that drug producers were waiting for."
    Al-Sudani asked: "Why focus on this aspect and talk about the localization of the pharmaceutical industry? Why did we not hear about it previously?" .
    He noted that "drug security is one of the most important requirements for the security of citizens and the state in light of epidemic crises, wars and economic crises, and the state must be able, through the private sector and the government sector, to secure health and medicine requirements for citizens, otherwise we will wait for the shipment to come, so we set this goal before us." ".
    He stated that "the size of the drug market exceeded 3 billion dollars, and the percentage of securing the national product from this monetary block is only 10%, which means that 90% goes outside Iraq, and this monetary mass goes from the country, and Iraq was a consumer market for countries and companies to market their products." 
    He pointed out that "going to achieve this goal, and we have started with a basic step that many drug producers are waiting for, which will ensure that within two years we will secure 40% of the needs of medicines and health supplies for all government institutions and the private sector, and this will provide tremendous job opportunities for citizens, and we We need it, and we hope from the private sector, as we are today facing a pioneering experience for the investor who took care of everything within a year and a half. The complex was established with all its capabilities.”
    Today, Saturday, Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani inaugurated the National Health Factory affiliated to the Ministry of Health, for the production of sterilization materials, dialysis solutions, and various medical supplies to cover the needs of health institutions throughout Iraq.
