    [size=45]The Committee on Economy, Industry and Trade in the House of Representatives is preparing to hold a meeting to discuss the file of price hikes in the markets in conjunction with the month of Ramadan.[/size]
    [size=45]Committee member Representative Briar Rashid said, "The Parliamentary Economy Committee will hold a meeting during the next two days in order to discuss the file of price manipulation, especially after the developments that occurred at the beginning of the month of Ramadan."[/size]
    [size=45]Rashid continued, "The executive authorities should abide by their duty to control prices and impose control on local markets."[/size]
    [size=45]And he stressed, “the need for the Ministry of Commerce to exercise its role in this regard through its committees that carry out inspection tours with the relevant authorities.”[/size]
    [size=45]Rasheed went on to say, "Parliament is keen to exercise its constitutional duties towards monitoring the executive performance, especially with regard to our work, since the economic file falls within the responsibilities of the committee."[/size]
