Shafaq News/ The representative of the coordination framework, Ibtisam Al-Hilali, demanded, on Sunday, the Presidency of the House of Representatives to include the budget law on the agenda of the parliamentary session, warning that any delay in approving the budget will affect the economic conditions in the country.
Al-Hilali told Shafaq News agency, "The draft of the general budget law reached the House of Representatives more than a week ago and is in the office of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, but it was not distributed to the members of the House, and we do not know the reason for not including it on the agenda."
She added, "We, as members of Parliament, demand the presidency of the Council to include the budget law on the agenda of the next session, in order to invest time and finish the first reading of the law."
Al-Hilali continued, "Members of Parliament and political blocs have many observations on the budget law, and we cannot present them until after completing the first reading of the law," noting that "any delay in approving the budget affects the economic conditions in the country."
The House of Representatives was scheduled to hold its session at eight o’clock last night, Saturday, to vote on the remaining paragraphs of the local and parliamentary elections law, but the session was postponed for more than an hour due to the lack of a quorum and the political blocs discussed among themselves about the law so that the session was postponed to Today, Sunday, the agenda of the session did not include the inclusion of the Federal Budget Law for the year 2023.
