The Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee believes that the prime minister's steps in the issue of border protection took place in accordance with the military contexts, noting that they are devoid of political or partisan spirit.
Committee member Karim Aliwi explained, "Iraq is one country with one government, and Iraqi forces are supposed to be present on all Iraqi lands, including the Kurdistan region."

In turn, a member of the committee, Ali Nehme Al-Bandawi, said that the committee "felt in the Prime Minister's steps to work according to standards, without involving the political self, especially in the military institution," noting that "the committee diagnosed all security breaches and always hosted a number of army leaders and other types." Regarding these violations, the last of which was the hosting of the Minister of Interior, the Chief of Staff of the Army, the Director of Intelligence, the commanders of the forces holding the land, and the Director of the Interior Intelligence in Diyala and Baghdad.
