    Baghdad Today - Follow-up
Crude oil prices fell today, Tuesday, after rising in the previous session, as markets focused on expectations of a US economic recession, offset by indications of strengthening demand in China.
US West Texas Intermediate crude fell 12 cents to $72.69.
Brent crude futures fell 38 cents to $77.73 a barrel by 04:28 GMT.
Prices rose in the previous session after Turkey stopped pumping crude from Kurdistan through a pipeline after an arbitration decision confirmed that Baghdad's approval was required to ship the oil.
China's imports of crude oil are expected to rise 6.2% in 2023 to 540 million tons, according to an annual forecast by a research unit of the China National Petroleum Corporation on Monday.
