    On Thursday, the Ministry of Electricity reported that 90 plans had been prepared by government institutions to reduce pollution levels within the national initiative to support renewable energy and reduce emissions.
    Shaima Sadek, director of the quality management department at the ministry, said, "After launching the national initiative to support renewable energy and forming an (ISO) energy team in coordination with all government institutions, civil society organizations, and the two holy Husseiniya and Alawite shrines, 90 plans were identified to confront the volume of pollution that the country suffers from." .
    And she indicated that "the plans will be implemented according to the competence of each of them from government institutions and departments. For example, the Ministry of Education implements its plan in schools and directorates related to how to rationalize the consumption of electric energy. As for the Ministry of Health, it will be in hospitals and health centers and is related to reducing the volume of pollution, in addition to the involvement of clans and all Women empowerment departments in ministries with plans.
    Sadiq pointed out that "the Ministry of Environment launched a campaign to measure the level of pollution, as its representatives are currently preparing studies on pollutants in each governorate, and then the secretariat of the (Green Fund) obtains financial grants to implement renewable energy projects."
    And she noted that "the Quality Department in the Ministry of Electricity is working to transform the national initiative to support renewable energy and reduce emissions, which was launched in 2021, into a national policy," according to the official newspaper.
    And she continued, "The initiative was launched in coordination with the Ministry of Environment, after which an (ISO) energy team was formed that includes quality departments in all government institutions, in addition to a team for awareness and media and the national women's team, in addition to a community team that includes organizations and clans."
