A member of the Parliamentary Legal Committee, Raed Al-Maliki, affirmed that the employee retirement law and its amendments must be subject to the government's vision before a vote on it proceeds in Parliament, pointing out that any law that has a financial aspect must be subject to the government.
Al-Maliki said in a press interview, which was seen by “Takadum”, that “the public retirement law for employees is seeking to amend it, but it must pass through the government first in order to state its vision on the law, especially since any amendments or proposals for laws that have a financial side, they must be subject to the government to say her word.”
He added that "changing the age and adding sums and financial burdens to the budget must be subject to the decision of the executive authority before Parliament goes towards reading and voting on the law or the amendments to be made to it."
And he indicated that "the Legal Committee worked on many law proposals, but it needs to take its session in Parliament as well as go and return to the government in order to put touches on it before proceeding with its legislation."
