[rtl]Baghdad / NINA / - The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Ahmed Al-Asadi, called for expediting the vote on the retirement and social security law for workers, because of its great privileges.
A statement by the Ministry stated that this came during his meeting with the Chairman of the Parliamentary Work Committee, and a number of its members today, Thursday, during which they reviewed the most prominent achievements of the Ministry, the services it provides to citizens, and the laws that need to be amended in many of its paragraphs, including the Law on the Care of Persons with Disabilities and Special Needs, and the Social Protection Act.
Al-Asadi indicated that the budget was prepared in accordance with the government's curriculum to guarantee the rights and needs of all groups and segments that it sponsors, and that the state's success lies in achieving it in the Ministry of Labor, as it is concerned with providing services to the largest segment of society.
With regard to loans, the minister stressed the importance of them being productive, and that the projects they finance are real on the ground, pointing out that he demanded the allocation of one trillion and 200 million dinars to support projects for the next three years, After the House of Representatives approved the 2023 budget, indicating that 4 meals will be launched this year.
The minister also called for allocating part of the budget to maintain and rehabilitate the buildings belonging to the ministry, and to provide the necessary support to its departments, especially social protection.
