Former MP Jassim Al-Bayati confirmed, on Friday, that the Sudanese Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia'a, is proceeding with his government program, despite the presence of some American pressure and dissatisfaction with the government's contracts with Siemens and other companies.
Al-Bayati said in a press interview, which was seen by “Takadum”, that “America has good indications of the Sudanese government, especially after the recent moves and the meetings he had with some officials, which clearly indicate that some obstacles have been overcome.”
He added, "The atmosphere is ready for the government to proceed with its ministerial program and implement it according to what was planned, although Washington has some points on contracts and agreements, but this will not be an obstacle to the Sudanese proceeding with implementing its program."
And he indicated that “America wants to serve its interests in Iraq, so there is a lack of desire in Washington for some contracts such as the German Siemens, especially since America has General Electric if it seeks to develop its contracts, at a time when Al-Sudani went towards concluding a number of contracts with various companies.”
