The deputy of the State of Law coalition, Jassim al-Moussawi, explained the reasons for Iraq's tendency towards Chinese companies and its preference over other international companies to complete projects in various sectors, pointing out that Iraq considers its interest in awarding contracts to international companies.

Al-Moussawi told Al-Maalouma, "Iraq looks to its interest primarily in the field of contracts and understandings with international companies from different countries, at a time when there is great competition between these companies."
He added, "Iraq has a tendency towards Chinese companies because of the existence of fruitful agreements with Beijing, as well as being suitable for the situation in Iraq, and Chinese projects have been tried more than once."
And he indicated that "many offers are offered by companies, but China has offers that are attractive in terms of material costs and speed of completion, as well as the facilities offered by Beijing regarding the payment of amounts for projects, some of which are paid in the form of oil payments." ended 25 n
