Today, Wednesday, April 5, 2023, the President of the Republic, Dr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received the Federal Minister of Finance, Taif Sami, at the Baghdad Palace.
During the meeting, they discussed the financial and economic conditions and approving the general budget in a manner that meets the aspirations of the citizens, as the President of the Republic stressed the importance of carrying out appropriate reforms, encouraging investment opportunities and supporting strategic projects, as well as developing and diversifying the sources of the national economy by activating the role of other sectors in a way that contributes to enhancing revenues.
The President of the Republic referred to the importance of improving the standard of living of the Iraqi individual, adopting modern methods of financial management, and benefiting from the experiences of developed countries in this field.
In turn, the Minister of Finance reviewed the procedures followed by the Ministry in addressing the economic and financial conditions, and what the current circumstance requires of concerted efforts to overcome the stage and its repercussions on public life.
