First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, stressed the need to expedite the legislation of the budget law in a way that guarantees the rights of the governorates to implement their service projects.
The office of the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament stated in a statement, of which Mawazine News received a copy, that "Mohsen al-Mandalawi, the first deputy speaker of Parliament, met with Pavel Talabani, the head of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, in Sulaymaniyah Governorate, and during the meeting they discussed a number of important files between The center and the region, and stressing the importance of expediting the legislation of the Federal General Budget Law for the current year because it is directly related to the affairs of the state and the interests of citizens, and in a way that guarantees the rights of all governorates to implement their service and investment programs and projects.
According to the statement, the First Deputy called on the Turkish authorities to resume flights to Sulaymaniyah International Airport, expressing his surprise at the Turkish decision to suspend flights to the airport despite it being under the authority of Iraqi civil aviation and abiding by international aviation laws, regulations and systems.
