Today, Sunday, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs announced new batches of loans that will be launched after the approval of the general budget for the registered unemployed for the past years.
The Director of the Department of Labor and Vocational Training, Raed Jabbar Bahidh, told Al-Sabah newspaper, followed by Al-Maalouma Agency, that “Applying to the lending programs approved by the Ministry, which includes loans to support small projects, the poverty alleviation strategy, and entrepreneurial projects for youth, is suspended due to the lack of the necessary financial allocations.” for granting these loans over the past years.
He pointed out that "there are more than 140,000 loan requests for job seekers registered with the ministry over the past years."
Bahedh added, "If the general budget is approved, 10,000 loans will be issued to those registered on these loans during the past years, noting that the ministry has ended dealing with the "advisory" system, which is a card that was in force for the purpose of granting job seekers loans, training them, or employing them in private sector projects.
