First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, said that the parliament "supports the government's policy regarding tax exemptions and reducing the interest rate on loans."
And a statement from his office, which was received by (Baghdad Today), stated that Al-Mandalawi "presided, on Monday evening, the second meeting of the Parliamentary Finance Committee after the first reading of the draft federal budget law for the years (2023, 2024, 2025)."
Mandalawi stressed that "the House of Representatives supports the government's policy with regard to tax exemptions and reducing the interest rate on loans," pointing to "the need to give priority in the draft law to activating the private sector, which contributes to additional job opportunities for youth energies."
The First Deputy Speaker directed the Parliamentary Finance Committee to present a clear vision of the mechanism of appointment and contracting in the government sector consistent with a budget allocated for three years, and to complete the discussion of the remaining paragraphs of the budget to expedite its submission for a second reading in the coming days, taking into account the observations raised by the deputies about it, and their consistency with The government program approved by Parliament.
