Today, Monday, the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani, directed that those who exceed social protection salaries be referred to the competent courts.
The head of the Social Protection Authority at the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, Ahmed Khalaf, said in a statement to the official agency that, “to date, the authority has completed research on more than 830,000 families, which is a very large number,” noting that “it is expected to include more than 600,000 families.” within the government programme.
Khalaf added, "Work is continuing at an escalating pace to complete social research for one million and 700,000 families during the next three or four months," stressing, "Work according to poverty line standards and research in all districts and sub-districts."

And he indicated that “the salaries of the first meal of those covered will be disbursed after the budget is approved,” pointing out that “social research is conducted in the field from 10,000 to 12,000 families per day.”
He stressed that “the disparity in salaries is according to the number of family members,” noting that “there are privileges for those covered, which is their inclusion in health insurance, and we are also working in coordination with education to include children in education and allocate an amount of 30 thousand dinars for each student enrolled in school.”
Regarding the numbers of transgressors, Khalaf said, “The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs announced the largest data intersection process in the ministry, which reached 163,000 transgressors, including employees, retirees, and daily laborers,” explaining that “the authority announced at the beginning of this year that there were 28,500 transgressors.” .
He stressed that "Prime Minister Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani issued a decision to refer transgressors to the competent courts, especially members of the security services."
