    Baghdad today - Baghdad 
    Today, Tuesday, the Minister of Commerce, Atheer Daoud Al-Ghurairy, announced the launch of cutting and preparing the fourth meal of the items of the food basket for the year 2023, starting next Thursday.
    And the Ministry of Commerce stated in a statement received by (Baghdad Today) that "the General Company for Foodstuff Trade has completed its logistical and administrative preparations to receive the materials supplied for the account of the food basket in its warehouses, which will be distributed among all citizens covered by the ration card system and according to the marketing plan for the equipment that it prepared, starting from the poorest areas and following it rest of the regions."
    The statement called on "food agents to review the cutting centers in Baghdad and the provinces for the purpose of cutting citizens' rations, according to the cutting schedules." 
    And the general manager of the foodstuffs company, Lama Al-Moussawi, confirmed, according to the statement, that "the staff working in all locations in Baghdad and the provinces are on alert and during Fridays and the blessed Eid Al-Fitr holiday to start the operations of cutting and preparing food basket materials and distributing them to citizens in one batch and at the same time without delay or shortage in any material." . 
    Al-Moussawi added that "at the same time, the company continues to sell flour (Das) and French (Duvelac) milk by direct selling to citizens at competitive prices through sales centers in Baghdad and the provinces in conjunction with the start of the cutting process, as well as continuing to sell liquid milk, table eggs and chicken meat." And at subsidized prices in the marketing outlets as well in Baghdad and the provinces.
