    Baghdad-Iraq today:

    [rtl]
The Ministry of Water Resources announced an agreement to construct 3 dams in the Kurdistan region, while specifying the volume of energy storage in the Iraqi dams.

The ministry's spokesman, Khaled Shamal, said in a statement, "The number of dams agreed upon by the Minister of Water Resources, Awn Dhiab, with the delegation of the Kurdistan government, which visited Baghdad recently, has reached three, which are (Dalka Dam), (Mandawa) and (Backerman).

He added, "The current storage capacity in Iraqi dams exceeds 9 billion cubic meters, and the ministry's plan for the summer season will focus on securing water drinking and gardening in the first place," indicating, "If additional storage is available, it will be possible to grow some vegetables."[/rtl]
