The head of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Atwan Al-Atwani, announced, on Wednesday, the start of the committee’s meetings to amend paragraphs and articles in the budget.

Al-Atwani said in statements reported by the official agency, followed by "NAS" (April 26, 2023), that "the committee has started meetings to amend the paragraphs and articles of the budget according to its constitutional authority."
He added, "We formed sub-committees in the committee to host executive officials to discuss and study their financial allocations to expedite the process of completing the amendments."
He continued, "The committee is studying the possibility of reducing the financial deficit in the budget."
