Today, Thursday, President Abdel Latif Rashid stressed the importance of securing ration card dues to all families.
And the Presidency of the Republic stated in a statement received by (Baghdad Today) that "President Rashid received today, at the Baghdad Palace, the Minister of Commerce, Atheer Dawood Al-Ghurairy."
"During the meeting, food security in the country was discussed," the statement added.
The president stressed, according to the statement, "the need to provide foodstuffs to citizens," pointing to "the importance of securing ration card dues to all families."
The President of the Republic referred to "the necessity of strengthening stability in the prices of foodstuffs for citizens."
For his part, the Minister of Commerce gave an explanation to "the President of the Republic about the progress of work in the ministry and the plans set to improve the services provided to citizens by providing the items of the ration card, and achieving stability in food prices in the country," according to the statement.
