    in a report issued by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development under the title "Technology and Innovation 2023", in which it shows that the wave of technological change launched by renewable technologies and other green technologies opens new windows of opportunities to build resilience against threats and develop stronger economies and more diversified, moving to better development paths with economies that are less burdensome on the environment.


    The report examines 17 of these “leading technologies” - including artificial intelligence (AI) for converting green hydrogen into biofuels - highlights the potential economic benefits and assesses countries' capacities to use, adopt and adapt these innovations.

    The report included the Leading Technological Readiness Index 2023, whereby 166 countries were ranked on their level of readiness to start using leading technologies with the following five indicators: information and communication technology, skills, industry, research and development, and financing.

    The report stated that these technologies have witnessed tremendous growth in the past two decades. In 2020 the total market capitalization is $1.5 trillion and by 2030 it will be able to reach $9.5 trillion. The Internet of Things (IoT) comprising a wide range of devices across multiple segments has taken over. The technologies are provided primarily by a few countries, including [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], China and countries in Western [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.].
