Independent politician Ibrahim Hadi confirmed, on Tuesday, the anticipation of the announcement of the birth of the third political alliance competing for the influence of sovereignty in Diyala.

In an interview with Al-Maalouma, Hadi said, "Independent personalities and political currents with different orientations have started dialogues to form a political alliance to enter the upcoming elections in Diyala."
He added, "The alliance, which will be announced at the beginning of next June, is the third Sunni alliance at the level of Diyala, and it constitutes a strong competition for sovereignty, as it will spread its headquarters in 5 important cities at the governorate level."
He pointed out that "sovereignty has lost the initiative in Diyala and the formation of political alliances will take a higher pace with the approaching provincial elections."
Sovereignty in Diyala suffers from severe divisions and repeated withdrawals, which led to a significant decline in its popularity.
