Shafaq News/ An Iraqi oil official saw on Wednesday that it is unlikely that the country's total oil exports in May would exceed 3.3 million barrels per day, amid the continued suspension of production from the Kurdistan Region and the northern fields through Turkey, and export restrictions in the southern ports.

And the S&P Global Commodity website, quoting the official, stated that "there is additional" limited" oil export capacity in the southern export terminals in the Gulf and the continuous suspension of more than 450,000 barrels per day of production from Kurdistan and other fields exported from the north via Turkey.
Oil Ministry data showed that Iraq's exports of federal crude, excluding flows from Kurdistan, rose in April by 1% on a monthly basis to 3.288 million b/d.
In May, Iraq began voluntarily reducing its production quota by 211,000 bpd to 4.22 million bpd, joining seven other members of the OPEC+ alliance that announced on April 2 voluntary production cuts totaling 1.66 million bpd until the end of the year. 2023.
The voluntary cuts come on top of the OPEC+ alliance's collective cut of 2 million bpd, which began in November and will continue until the end of 2023.
The prime ministers of the Iraqi government and the Kurdistan Region agreed to a temporary deal on April 4 to resume oil exports through the Turkish port of Ceyhan, but despite several pledges of a quick restart, no Iraqi crude has been loaded since Ankara halted exports on March 25 due to international arbitration.
Iraqi Oil Minister Hayan Abdul Ghani said May 3 that he expects Baghdad and Erbil to complete within two weeks the agreement to resume exporting crude oil via Ceyhan. Ankara will also need to agree to reopen the Iraq-Turkey pipeline, which was closed as a result of the dispute.
