    [rtl]Baghdad - Iraq today:

The Kurdistan government called on the federal government to send budget funds to pay the salaries of its employees.[/rtl]

[rtl]A statement by the Kurdistan government stated, "The region's cabinet held its weekly meeting under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Masrour Barzani and the presence of the deputy head of the council, Qubad Talabani."[/rtl]
[rtl]At the outset of the meeting, the Prime Minister expressed his happiness at "the return of the ministerial bloc of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan to the cabinet meetings."[/rtl]
[rtl]Barzani stressed, "the need for the Kurdish parties to unite and unite, in defense of national interests."[/rtl]
[rtl]According to the statement: “In the first paragraph of the agenda, the Prime Minister made a presentation on the latest developments related to the resumption of exporting the region’s oil, within the framework of the agreement concluded between the regional government and the federal government on 4/4/2023.”[/rtl]
[rtl]Barzani indicated, "The Kurdistan Regional Government has fulfilled all its obligations based on the agreement, and it is awaiting a final agreement between the federal government and the Turkish government to resume exporting the region's oil, and at the same time, the federal government must send the necessary budget sums to the regional government to pay salaries to those they receive it, until the draft federal budget law is approved and the region's rights and financial dues are secured within the federal budget.”[/rtl]
[rtl]And the statement stated: “In the second paragraph of the agenda, the Council of Ministers discussed the project (reorganizing public finances in the Kurdistan region). After deliberations and discussions, the Council of Ministers decided unanimously to vote on reorganizing public finances throughout the region through the centralization of revenues, liquidity, expenditures and salaries. To achieve this, it was decided to organize all sources of revenue in banks, treasuries, border crossings, and tax and fee directorates with the aim of protecting public revenues, as well as linking them through an electronic system.[/rtl]
[rtl]Also in this context, it was decided that priority be given to disbursing expenditures to salaries, and that they are considered sovereign expenditures throughout the region, and with regard to other expenditures, in addition to salaries, it was decided to implement this with appropriate mechanisms and procedures and in a fair manner, according to the population of each province and an independent administration.[/rtl]
[rtl]He continued, "In order to ensure the implementation of these decisions, the Council of Ministers authorized the President and his deputy to find the necessary and appropriate mechanisms to support the ministries and authorities concerned with implementing these decisions."[/rtl]
[rtl]And between: "In another axis related to security problems, the Council of Ministers decided to conduct a joint investigation through a specialized committee to look into security issues in general, away from political interference, provided that appropriate legal measures are taken in this regard. "[/rtl]
[rtl]He pointed out, "In the third and final paragraph of the agenda, Interior Minister Riber Ahmed presented the ministry's report related to answering the national assessment conducted by the federal government on the risks of money laundering and terrorist financing in Iraq."[/rtl]
