{Local: Al Furat News} The Ministry of Water Resources confirmed that the condition of the Mosul Dam is "much better" than before.
Salim Al-Atabi in the advanced staffing in the ministry told {Euphrates News} agency: “The generation of electric power is still going on at a dam for Mosul, as the last rains that came and were at the end of the winter season are very useful in terms of timing, as it was at the end of the weaning irrigation and during the winter season we were able to Securing these irrigations.
He added, "The situation of the Mosul Dam is now much better than it was because the imports of the Turkish side are somewhat better than before."
And the Ministry of Water Resources announced on April 3 that Ankara had begun to increase water flows to the Tigris River, in implementation of the agreement reached last month, during the visit of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani to Turkey, and the ministry indicated that the increase in Turkish flows reaches 1,500 cubic meters per second. That is, twice the quantity that was previously sent to Iraq by Ankara.
