Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani discussed with Vice President of the United Arab Emirates Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries.
A statement by Al-Sudani's office said, "The Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani, met in the Saudi city of Jeddah, Vice President of the United Arab Emirates Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on the sidelines of the 32nd Arab Summit, which kicked off today, Friday."
The statement added, "During the meeting, they bilaterally discussed relations between the two countries, and ways to enhance and consolidate mutual cooperation in various fields. The meeting also witnessed discussions on a number of regional and international issues of common concern."
During the meeting, Al-Sudanese affirmed, "Iraq's keenness to establish the best relations with the brotherly UAE, especially in the economic and investment fields." Al-Sudani also conveyed "Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed's greetings to the President of the United Arab Emirates."
And the statement continued, “For his part, Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan conveyed to the Prime Minister, the greetings of the President of the United Arab Emirates, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and his wishes for Iraq and its people for security and prosperity ," stressing "his country's desire for more joint cooperation with Iraq, in order to achieve mutual interests."
