    The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fuad Hussein, discussed today, Thursday, with his Czech counterpart, economic and trade relations, and while he indicated that the relations between the two countries went through different stages and were supportive of the Iraqi people, Jan Lipavsky, in turn, valued Iraq's role in arranging matters in the Middle East.

    Hussein said in a joint press conference with his Czech counterpart, followed by Al-Sumaria, that "the relations between the two countries went through different stages in support of the Iraqi people," noting that "economic and trade relations were among the axes of the discussions."



    He added, "We discussed supporting Czech companies and participating in building the Iraqi economy," noting that "Iraq is an oil country and will be an invading country in the coming years."

    The Foreign Minister affirmed that "the Czech Republic provides support to the Iraqi forces in the war against terrorism," stressing that "the file of study fellowships in the Czech Republic has been discussed."

    Hussein drew attention to "the Syrian situation and the return to the Arab League," adding, "We discussed Iraq's pioneering role in the region."

    In turn, the Czech Foreign Minister, Jan Lipavsky, valued Iraq's role in its contribution to arranging matters in the Middle East.

    "We look forward to the joint opening of the business conference with Iraq," Lipavsky said at the joint press conference, appreciating "Iraq's role in its contribution to arranging matters in the Middle East."

    He added, "We are ready to develop relations with Iraq."
