Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein discussed with Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky today, Thursday, the economic, investment and educational fields between the two countries.
Hussein said in a joint press conference with Lipavsky, "The relations between Iraq and the Czech Republic went through different stages and supportive of the Iraqi people," noting that "economic and trade relations were among the axes of the discussions, and we also discussed supporting Czech companies and participating in building the Iraqi economy, as well as studying fellowships." in the Czech Republic.
Hussein added, "Iraq's pioneering role in the region was also discussed, and the paths to the Syrian situation and return to the Arab League were discussed."
He continued, "Iraq is an oil country and will be an invading country in the coming years," noting that "the Czech Republic is providing support to the Iraqi forces in the war against terrorism."
For his part, Lipavsky said: "We look forward to the joint opening of the business conference with Iraq," appreciating "Iraq's role in its contribution to arranging matters in the Middle East."
He expressed his country's readiness to develop relations with Iraq, and extended an official invitation to the Iraqi foreign minister to visit Prague. Ended 29/N33
