Today, Thursday, the Ministry of Transport revealed the start of implementing the POS electronic payment system at the ministry’s headquarters and its formations, after signing an agreement with the Arab Gate Company, which is licensed by the Central Bank.

The Director General of the Administrative and Financial Department, Ahmed Khalaf Bunyan, said in a statement, NRT Arabia received a copy of it, that "the implementation of the POS electronic payment system comes based on the directives of the Council of Ministers and the Minister of Transport, Razzaq Muhibis Al-Saadawi, to achieve quality standards in applying the latest electronic systems according to the study, plans and programs." set by the Ministry to convert to the electronic payment process and keep pace with the development in this field.

The statement added that "the terms of this agreement were prepared by the Central Bank uniformly for all state institutions," noting that "the ministry is keen to implement it within the time limit specified by the Council of Ministers."
