Today, Saturday, the independent Kurdish politician, Hoshyar Abdullah, demanded the imposition of "international trusteeship" on the Kurdistan region, in order to get out of the current political crisis represented in the postponement of the elections by the two ruling parties in the region.
The former member of the Iraqi Parliament said in a tweet he published today and followed by (Baghdad Today): "The Kurdistan Democratic Party and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan use all methods and scenarios to postpone the elections and perpetuate their illegitimate authority," and added that "these parties have precedents for not adhering to the decisions of the Federal Supreme Court in Iraq." It is possible that the best solution for the region to get out of this suffocating crisis made by the ruling parties and families is to internationalize the political situation in the region and impose a kind of international tutelage on it .
He added, "The internationalization of the political situation in the Kurdistan region is very important to get out of the current political crisis represented by the two ruling parties in the region postponing the elections over and over again."
It is noteworthy that, after months of disagreements and sharp political and media campaigns between the two main Kurdish parties, the Democratic Party and the Patriotic Union, which reached the point of suspending the Vice President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Qubad Talabani, and the ministers of the Patriotic Union, their participation in the meetings of the regional government, which is headed by Masrour Barzani for the Kurdistan Democratic Party .
Earlier, a member of the New Generation Movement, Aram Muhammad, saw that "the recent rapprochement that took place between the Kurdistan Democratic Party and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan may lead to the failure to hold elections for the Kurdistan Parliament ."
The session of the Kurdistan region has previously witnessed a state of chaos as a result of a clash of hands, blows and punches between the representatives of the Kurdistan region, which led to the injury of a number of representatives of the region and some journalists who were inside the parliament hall to cover the proceedings of the session .
