Baghdad today - Baghdad
Al-Waqa’i al-Iraqiya newspaper announced in its Sunday issue that Iraq had joined the Nuclear Safety Treaty.
And the Ministry of Justice stated, in a statement received by (Baghdad Today), that "the new issue of Al-Waqa'i Al-Iraqi newspaper, No. (4720), included a number of laws, the most prominent of which is Iraq's accession to the Nuclear Safety Agreement."
The statement added, “The Director General of the Department, Hanan Munther Nassif, confirmed that the issue included the issuance of Law No. 5 of 2023 regarding the accession of the Republic of Iraq to the Nuclear Safety Agreement, and Law No. 6 of 2023 related to the ratification of the economic, commercial, scientific and technical cooperation agreement between the government of the Republic of Iraq.” and the Hungarian government .
And Nassif indicated that "the issue also included the issuance of Law No. 7 of 2023 regarding the accession of the Republic of Iraq to the joint agreement on the safety of spent fuel disposal and the safety of radioactive waste disposal . "
