Today, Sunday, May 28, 2023, the President of the Republic, Dr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received at the Baghdad Palace, His Excellency the Minister of Industry and Minerals, Khaled Battal.
The meeting discussed the ministry's plans to open the way for the private sector and encourage the work of factories and laboratories in a way that achieves the provision of products, as the President of the Republic stressed the importance of this in strengthening the economic situation in the country and providing job opportunities for young people.
The President of the Republic pointed out that Iraq is a promising investment market, pointing to the importance of encouraging investment and capital and supporting the private sector through executive procedures and providing the necessary laws and facilities for that.
For his part, Minister Khaled Battal appreciated the directives of the President of the Republic, and reviewed to him the workflow of the ministry and the projects based on its implementation, as well as its future plans to strengthen the industrial sector in the country.
