[rtl]Baghdad / NINA / - Minister of Communications, Hiyam Al-Yasiri, met with the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Iraq, Cui Di.
“The meeting witnessed the discussion of joint relations between the two countries and the importance of consolidating them with the active contribution of Chinese companies operating in the field of communications and information technology in Iraq,” the Ministry of Communications said in a statement.
Al-Yasiri confirmed, "The ministry is continuing to adopt standards of fair competition between companies operating in the sector, pointing to the activation of transit projects that link the Arab Gulf states with the continent of Europe through Iraq, passing through Turkey."
For his part, the Chinese ambassador expressed his country's desire to provide full support and cooperation in the telecommunications sector, appreciating the role of the minister in activating the submarine cable project in which a number of countries, including China, participate.[/rtl]
