Al-Salami said in an interview with Al-Maalouma Agency, that "the country needs qualified governors to run local governments," adding that "there is a tendency to replace most of the governors who have been proven to be failing and negligent, and to choose their replacements until the provincial elections are held.”
Al-Salami explained, "The government continues to provide services and launch strategic projects, and it needs strong support in local administrations to complete these projects by selecting new governors who are able to perform their duties."
The leader of the State of Law coalition, MP Muhammad Saadoun al-Sudani, had confirmed that the cabinet reshuffle was imminent, indicating that the mechanism for replacing ministers was still under agreement between the political forces. End / 25 hours
