Today, Thursday, the representative of the Al-Sadiqun Parliamentary Bloc, Awad, announced the inclusion of Basra Governorate as the economic capital of Iraq, while he indicated that an amount of 150 billion dinars would be allocated for the reconstruction of the province.
Awwad said in a tweet via “Twitter”, that “Basra has been included in the real economic capital of Iraq, and an amount of (150) billion has been allocated for the reconstruction of the province.”
He added that "there will be a secretariat for the economic capital and the linking of service departments in it as is the practice in Baghdad," noting that "this matter will speed up the campaign to rebuild Basra and build it properly and resolve conflicts with service departments."
