A member of the Parliamentary Services Committee, Baqir Kazem, confirmed, on Friday, that work on service projects is ongoing and continuous in Baghdad and other provinces, pointing out that the deficit will not affect these projects despite the need for some of them to approve the budget.
Kazem told Al-Maalouma, "Projects in the field of roads and sewage networks are still ongoing, especially since the government has a tendency towards service projects, whether in Baghdad or other provinces."
He added, "Many service projects await the approval of the budget, despite the continuation of work in the Baghdad entrance projects and a number of other roads and cladding campaigns in many areas, but the approval of the budget will be decisive for a number of projects dependent on its approval."
And that "service and investment projects will not be affected by the deficit in the budget, especially since there are costs and speculative amounts that have been put in place for projects that have been launched and are still awaiting approval of the budget in order to proceed with them." ended 25 n
