The head of the Investment Authority, Haider Makiya, today, Thursday, determined the locations and areas of the new residential investment cities, while confirming that they will be smart and serviced by roads and infrastructure, and the highest specifications will be applied in them.
"The five investment cities that were announced today will be established in the governorates of Baghdad, Babil, Karbala, Anbar and Nineveh, and they will be sustainable and green, and heat and sound insulation systems will be applied in them, and they can be called smart cities," Makiya told Al-Iraqiya News, followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
He added, "There is no difference between local or foreign investors, and what is important to us is that the construction process is implemented according to the highest standards and specifications, and these cities will be served by roads and infrastructure."
Makiya explained, "The investment opportunities were represented in the Baghdad governorate in the new city of Al-Jawahiri located in the Abu Ghraib district / Nahiyah Al-Nasr and Al-Salam Camp Tariq (formerly) with an area of (7121) dunums, and in the governorate of Babel in the new city of Al-Janaina with an area of (7000) dunums, while in the Karbala governorate it was represented The investment opportunity is in the city of the banks of Karbala, with an area of (3000) dunums, while the opportunity was represented in the Anbar Governorate, in the new city of Fallujah, with an area of (4085) dunums, and in the Nineveh Governorate, the new city of Ghazlani, the former Ghazlani Camp, with an area of (4700) dunums.
He stressed, "This step went through long work stages and dialogue and consultation sessions with the local sectoral departments and advisory bodies to set differentiation criteria in the new cities, and the special requirements for caring for the sustainability clauses in the announced cities," noting, "There are new investment opportunities that will be announced immediately after the completion of their special procedures, and they will include other Iraqi provinces.[/size]
