    Baghdad / Obelisk Al-Hadath: The Commander of the Iranian Border Guard Forces, Brigadier General Ahmed Ali Kudarzi, stressed, on Friday, strengthening the security of the joint borders and facilitating the movement of the visitors of Arbaeen Al-Hussein, in a meeting with his Iraqi counterpart, Major General Muhammad Abdul-Wahhab Sukkar Al-Saeed.
    The agency, “IRNA”, stated that the meeting between Kudarzi and Al-Saeed took place during the visit of the Iraqi Border Guard Commander to Tehran, which aims to develop interactions and strengthen border regulations in various fields.
    The Commander of the Border Guard Forces of the General Command of the Iranian Internal Security Forces referred to the positive interaction and good border relations between the border guard forces in his country and Iraq, pointing out that his country has 1,609 km of common borders with Iraq, and this long distance of the common borders is controlled against the background of relations. Kindness and good interaction between the border guards of the two countries.
    For his part, the commander of the Iraqi Border Guard forces said, "There is a sense of brotherhood in the border areas between the field commanders of the two countries, and this communication and interaction will continue."
    Major General Muhammad Abd al-Wahhab Sukkar al-Saeedi stated that receiving Iranian visitors is one of the priorities of the Iraqi government, because they enter his country with a sincere intention to visit Imam Hussein, calling for the need to transfer expertise and raise the level of intelligence cooperation between the two countries.
    The military commander stated that Iraq and Iran have common goals and also common enemies, which requires raising the level of cooperation and transferring expertise in combating terrorism and hostile groups and addressing forms of smuggling across the borders of the two countries.
